Recieve a splendid variety of produce, carefully boxed and delivered weekly to drop sites in Alexandria, St. Cloud, Minneapolis, and St. Paul and neighboring communities. You will sample over 100 varieties of vegetables, fruits and herbs. Each week's delivery yields its own unique harvest. Plan on plenty of those favorite staple veggies, plus a healthy portion of the exotic and novel. Quantity and variety progress with the season. Summer Share (June 5 to October 2, depending on the weatherA CSA Summer Share consists of 10-15 kinds of fresh organically grown fruits, vegetables and herbs delivered to you for 18 weeks. A share should vary from around 7-12 lbs in the spring to well over 25 lbs in the late summer and fall. One share generally fills the needs of two people with a vegetarian diet or a family of four with mixed diets. $560in Minneapolis, St. Paul and St. Cloud, Minnetonka $475 in Alexandria and Fergus Falls (New prices reflect change in fuel costs) Storage Share This share will offer a supply of all the fall storage vegetables that your family will need for the months of October November and December. We will deliver these shares October 30, November 20th and December 11th. Each delivery will include approximately #15 of potatoes, 5# of carrots, 5# of onions, winter squash, cabbage, kale leeks, daikon radishes, beets, celeriac, rutabaga, turnips, Brussels sprouts, garlic, and pie pumpkins. We have offered this option in the past and members have been excited about the amount of produce they receive. These shares are a great option for saving money on meals especially during the holiday seasons. Most of these vegetables keep very well just in a heated garage (just above freezing) or a cool basement. The price for this share is $225 for the Metro and St. Cloud members and $200 for Alexandria, and FergusFalls members. Frozen Winter Share I am happy
to announce that Ploughshare Farm is bringing back (BY POPULAR
DEMAND) the "Frozen Winter shares." These
shares will include around a 120 packages of blanched and frozen vegetables.—done
by Chef Matthew Jensen. There will be 4 deliveries (most likely December,
January, February and March) with 30 packages in each delivery. 30
packages will fill a regular 3/4 bushel box that we currently use for our
summer shares. Each delivery will contain a package or two of each
variety of vegetables. These packages range in weight, but are equivalent
to about a 3 serving size meal. Many of them are sealed in 1/2 pound
quantities. Included in the mix will be, basil, beans,
beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, Napa, sweet
corn, eggplant, fennel, garlic, kale, melons, onions, peas, peppers,
potatoes, braising mix, summer squash, Swiss Chard, tomatoes, turnips, and
winter squash. Those that received these shares in the past know how wonderful
it is to have local, organic vegetables in the cold months of winter. It
is so nice how convenient these packages are as well... just open and heat for

. These "Frozen Winter Shares" are definitely one of the most
innovative things (the ultimate "season extension") that
Ploughshare Farm has done. We have been the first CSA in the nation that
has offered such an option and look to your support to make this a success!! The price for a full share is $600 and a 1/2 share is $400. Our goal is to sell 50 full shares. If we do this we will be able to continue this project into the future. Think
